Dennis Kane – Urban Forest Full Moon Soundscape Artist
Dennis Kane has been a steady, thoughtful presence in New York’s underground music landscape for decades. His relationship to sound is rooted in records, sound systems, and physical spaces — shaped by years of listening, digging, and building musical experiences with intention.
He began his journey working at the legendary A1 Records, one of the city’s most respected vinyl institutions. From there, his path unfolded into deeper territory: founding the labels Disques Sinthomme, Ghost Town, and more recently LESDK — each with a clear curatorial vision and a resistance to throwaway culture.
His work includes the project Siren, alongside Darshan Jesrani (of Metro Area), where rhythm, space, and mood are central.
Kane’s sound is hard to pin down because it isn’t built for classification. It spans post-punk, soul, deep house, new wave, experimental disco, ambient — yet always feels cohesive. There is no single genre, but a thread of intention.
For Urban Forest, he recorded his Full Moon Soundscape at Moondog HiFi in New York — a space known for its warmth, vinyl focus, and uncompromising approach to sound. The result is a listening experience that reflects who Dennis Kane is: an artist with depth, range, and clarity in his selections.
This mix is part of a wider series released on every full moon — inviting artists we respect to shape something personal, atmospheric, and true to their world.

The Curator Behind The Full Moon Magic
Marius Våreid, a Norwegian producer and DJ connected to the Full Pupp label and its sub-labels Horisontal Mambo and Internasjonal, founded by Prins Thomas. He regularly collaborates with artists like Blackbelt Andersen, Prins Thomas, Ray Mang and others within Oslo´s underground electronic scene.
This is the man behind the full moon magic. He is the one curating the soundscapes you receive every full moon - month after month. Each mix is handpicked and thoughtfully assembled to help you tune in, feel more, and celebrate. Soon you'll also hear new voices in the soundscapes, as he brings in exiting collaborators to join the ritual.
